Why does my guitar neck pickup buzz when plugged into the amp?

Why does my guitar neck pickup buzz when plugged into the amp, while my other guitars won't? I'm pretty sure my amp's ok, and I tried different cables but still get the same thing. My guitar's neck pickup is a Gibson P-90
