Should I use USB or Line-in for vocal recording?

I am deciding whether to purchase an Audio Technica AT2020 USB condenser microphone or to purchase the XLR version of the AT2020 and run it through a Mixer/PreAmp and connect to my computer using the line in port (with a 3.5mm to RCA cable). I am using a Macbook Pro and Logic Express 9 for my vocal editing and am looking to do some vocal recording for original music in my home studio. Which option would result in the best sound quality? USB or Line-in?

ok, i recently knew about this game sharing thing and i need a slightly thorough briefing on it. I know FIVE activation is the limit, but does this mean that i can share games for FIVE times of the SAME title or FIVE times for ANY DIFFERENT title (if i have 2 games of different titles that needed sharing can i can share up to FIVE times EACH meaning TEN times ?) Continuing on the briefing, lets say i have 5 user accounts on MY PS3 system ( i know max number of user account on ONE system is 16 ) , does this mean that i have already used up ALL my 5 activation ? It spark me to ask this question because i have 3 user accounts on my PS3, and when i look at the information of the downloaded game (welcome back, infamous) it says it is SHARABLE to the other accounts (ex : shared to acc 2 and acc 3, owner is acc 1). im scared that i have already lost 3 activation .. oh and one more thing. is it possible to SHARE save data files and acquire trophies? lets say if i play infamous on acc 2 using save game file of acc 1, do i get all the trophy of acc 1 or is it blocked [note that this is ALL IN ONE (my) PS3 SYSTEM]. Substitute for Bicep Workout Burn Set?

okay i've basically just started a new work out routine. I go to the gym so i have access to nearly all normal equipment apart from (annoyingly) cables for bicep preacher curls. Cables are needed for the burn set of the bicep part of my workout routine. Does anyone know a different workout that can be used instead of cable preacher curls for a burn set of about 40 for the work out. I'm already doing barbell curls, pinwheel curls and concentrated seated bicep curls if that help.. cheers for any advice people

No display on my computer monitor after installing me new nvidia gtx 460 graphics card?

OK, her's how it is. I installed the video card and powered up the computer, I hear the windows login screen like normal, but there is no picture on the monitor at all. I have an ati radeon 4200 hd integrated into the mother board, if that helps. Am i supposed to disable the onboard graphics before installing the gtx 460? Or is there a way to install the drivers into the card before installing it into the desktop. I am using a 600 watt power supply by Corsair, so power is not a problem. Please help!!! HD gaming is not so HD?

I've bought a microsoft's hdmi cable for my xbox360 so i could play games in HD. I think you can do that if you use the red, green, blue component cables and get a 3.5mm jack for the red and white audio cables.

Cable no signal in living room?

It sure sounds like the cable jack in the living room isn't properly hooked up. You will have to try and trace the cable back and see if you can locate where the problem lies. It could be as simple as the line being disconnected from a cable splitter. Of course it could also be due to a fastener being driven into the wall where the cable ran and broke the cable. There is no way to tell without tracing the cable out.

My self-made ringtones aren't syncing to my iPhone 4. Help?

I had a white Macbook, and I had to replace it so I got a new Macbook Pro. However, the ringtones that I'd made (from creating an ACC file of a song component and converting it to mp4) won't sync to my iPhone 4, yet they show up in the Ringtones section in my iTunes library. Samsung Suround Sound?

So i was playing my Playstation 3 and my surround sound stopped working. I Have my PS3 connected to my TV with a HDMI cable and my TV connected to my surround sound by a digital audio output (the clear tube). The surround sound works with my cable box, but not my TV or PS3. This is the first time this has happend.

people who know guitar half stacks, I have a b52 ls100 head and ls400 cabinet. On the back of the cabinet, there is a mono/stereo switch and I dont know how to connect the head to the cabnet. i have one speaker cable and i want to know if i can switch the switch to stereo with only one cable(there are two cable holes in the cab) and i dont want to screw up the amp. Also there is a statement saying do not switch to mono with stereo terminals in use. could you explain that. Im guessing i need two cables to use the stereo but i may be wrong. I would like to do a creative project with my ninth grade students in which they create their own Victorian-style calling cards that they can distribute to each other during our Mad Hatter-themed Victorian tea party. My family has used Time Warner Cable as an ISP for years now and it has always been bad. Cannot Connect to Internet?

This may seem very weird. I was downloading a movie last night and all of a sudden the internet does not work on any of my computers on the network. I can see the network but when I enter the password it does not work( I am possitive the password is correct because I added a new computer yesterday.) Something happened overnight, and it seems strange that it happened the day after adding this new computer, I checked it for any sort of viruses and there were none, its essentially a brand new computer (just reflashed the harddrive and installed windows 7, no its not a bootleg copy). Any suggestions before I just call Time Warner Cable?

What just happened to me? What do I do now? ALMOST FAINTED HELP!?

I was showering and i felt light-headed so i opened the shower door. It felt better, but then my sight became very blurry. Like i could barely see. Then I stumbled out of the bathroom into the family room. The fire alarm went off and I ran into my room and switched my air conditioner on full blast. My hearing turned to buzzing as if i turned on a tv without cable. I regained my sight at that point then my hearing. My grandma turned off the fire alarm and I was fine again. As if nothing happened. I remember everything from the event. I remembered thinking i couldnt move so i should just lay in the bathrrom for someone to pick me up, but then i gained strength and stood up from leaning over the sink. What happened? My mom said when she gets home from work around 9 o clock she'll take me to the hospital. Why did the fire alarm go off? Is there a leak of gas of some sort?! Thanks.

Why when i wire my rocker switch the led light will come on and the leds wont?

I recently installed led lights in my car with a three pronged toggle switch. I thought i set everything up right, Ground going to anything metal or neg terminal, red and positive wires going to the positive peg of the battery and the two black wires going to the acc input on the switch. I turned on my rocker switch and the led light went on on the rocker switch but my neon lights did not. Then i flipped the switch and my neon lights turned on but the led indicator didnt. please help!

Why does my wirless internet keep disconnecting?

I have just installed a new router (d link dir 815 and a usb adapter xtreme n dual band) and my internet keeps dropping out. Random riddles that make no sense?

I am trying to figure out some cool sweet 16 party ideas, (not until january...). And one of the themes I am thinking about is an Alice In Wonderland / Mad Hatter's Tea Party theme. How can I plug an hdmi cable into my xbox??? (read below)?

So I got an xbox 360 slim and on the main power plug (or something) there is a plastic tab that covers the hdmi cable slot... So I did some searching an a couple of people suggested that I remove the plastic cover on the main plug so that the tab doesn't cover the hdmi slot... So I did, but when I try to turn it on with both the main plug and the hdmi cable in the xbox the tv screen just stays black and nothing happens... So I took off the hdmi cable and turned the power on and the xbox worked fine... Help!

Why will my iPod 160GB Classic not charge?

I've had it since about Christmas this year and since then its been absolutely fine till yesterday, I put it on my Goodman's dock and it wouldn't connect and also for some reason the dock lost power and the display of the dock went off when the iPod was on it. I then tried connecting it to both mine and my mom's laptops with two different apple USB cables and it woulden't respond, I just got a message on the desktop about the device not being recognized, I also tried it through my Xbox. I have restarted it by holding middle button and menu and did some reset in the ipod settings. None of this has worked, any help please? I'm baffled.

Do you think Tim Burton ruined Alice in Wonderland?

First off I love the book. It's an amazing satiric vision. In my opinion Burton completely destroyed this because he felt it was okay to make a completely new story. For one once again Johnny Depp is actualy the main character. The focus is clearly on the mad hatter (or an absolutely horrid representation of him) instead of Alice. He completely lost sight of what the book was even about, because he was too caught up trying to make it "weird". None of Burton's movies are weird though. If a movie is inspired by a book it shouldn't use the book as a bible, but it dtill needs to retain the same basic thoughts. Your opinions? Xbox 360 controller doesnt charge, what should should i do?

ive had my play and charge kit for about a year now and its been acting weird for a couple months. a lot of the time, i had to move the cable at an angle while it is plugged into the controller so it would charge, i would also plug it in and the light on the end that plugs into the controller would go red for a second, then it would turn green, indicating it is fully charged. then when i unplugged it, it would die. but today i turned on the controller, and it came on and died about a minute later. i plugged in the charger and it wouldnt charge it and the light wouldnt turn on. i tried doing a lot of what people said online, like rubbing the connectors and blowing into the usb port. i dont wanna sound mean, but i want an answer to my problem, not people talking and just telling me their story without any answer on how to solve the dilemma.

More than likely the battery is old and won't hold a charge any longer. It is possible you have an open battery, in which case you can pop off the tops and fill it up with distilled water. If it's not low then it's time for a new battery. If that doesn't fix it, then you do have a problem somewhere that is draining it, but I'm 99% sure that your battery is at fault. It will still give you 12v +/- even if it doesn't hold much power.

Video output problem on PS3?

my ps3 was connected to a HDTV using a HDMI cable. Now I no longer have the HDTV and I don't have a HDMI port on my old TV. I only have yellow/white/red ports. My 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee's sound system is acting up. All speakers loose complete sound after about 10 sec.?

Okay, I have just acquired a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee that is in excellent condition. The only problem is, however, the stereo is acting up. When I turn the car on, or to ACC, the stereo works fine (all speakers) for about 10 seconds and then fades out to complete silence, as if it has lost power. After about 10 more seconds the stereo comes back on, very faint and distorted and only on the rear divers side speaker. This jeep does have an amplifier so I am guessing it may have something to do with that. The sound system in the Jeep is completely stock, and no modification have been made. I just put a brand new battery in the car and the radio display itself (time, buttons, etc.) continue to work regardless of the speakers malfunctioning. I would love any help or advice about how I could possibly fix this on my own. Like I said before, I believe there is a problem with the amp, and yes the power ratings match the amp's requirements and I have checked all the fuses, but I don't have enough overall knowledge of car stereos to troubleshoot any farther. I am a technologically "handicapped" person and I recently bought a hp dm4 1160us with the main intention of doing some basic research and watch movies. I have a SONY Trinitron TV and would love if I could somehow connect my laptop to the TV so that I can watch movies. Also, I would like to use the TV's speakers for audio. Is there a way to do it ? The dm4 has a HDMI port, a female VGA port (like the one to connect to projectors) and an eSATA port. I also connect my playstation to the TV using the PS to Red/White/Yellow cable. got it put on with some tweaking, to my 97 sportster. the manual while helpful did not answer some questions of mine. the overflow tube on the bottom of the carb, does it go anywhere, i don't think so but i want to make sure. if it doesn't go anywhere should i trim it? cause it is wicked long. the idle adjust also just hangs there, is that cool? the choke cable wasn't exactly cooperative, ordered a mikuni one, in the meantime as long as its push all the way in will i have problems keeping the bike going? appreciate the help, the learning process is making me feel incredibly uncool. thanks again.

Iphone 2G wont sync with Itunes error 0xE8000065?

My iphone has not bee able to sync with itunes i am using itunes version 10.3.1. i have uninstalled and reinstalled it several times. I have even installed older versions of itunes but it doesn't work it shows sync in Progress sometimes but it wont sync itunes just freezes after a point. I have used different cables i have uninstalled and reinstalled all apple components including apple mobile device. I have even unistalled and reinstalled usb port drivers after trying different USB ports. The scanner and camera wizard works fine it detects it and i can transfer pics. but wont sync with itunes which makes it useless. It is jailbroken and has firmware 3.1.2 . it depends on the cable you have. Mine is Time Warner Cable and on channels 18 and 19 around 7pm-11pm they put K-dramas and the variety shows. The only crappy thing is that those aren't the only channels. There's like 3 or 2 more channels that air all those dramas almost everyday. The catch is that you have to buy those programs to watch them. Unfortunately if ur broke like me, then you're stuck with the other free ones lol

Why won't my 1999 Saab 9-5 ACC power up after I tried to fix the pixel problem?

After successfully repairing the SID unit using foam tape to add pressure to the ribbon cable, I tried doing the same thing to the ACC unit but now it won't power up when I put it back in the car! I tried resetting it (off and auto buttons simultaneously) and also nothing is blocking light sensor, but still absolutely no power or hint of life! While taking it apart and putting it together, I didn't have anything unusual happen (like dropping it, ripping the ribbon, etc.) so I have no idea what might have gone wrong? Any ideas or suggestions?

Why is the picture on my tv small when i use a HDMI cable?

I have a 40" flat screen TV, never used the HDMI cable because I used the HD connectors (blue,green and red) that the cable company gave me. For the past 2yrs I used the 3 wires and had a full screen picture, noproblem at all. Last night my landlord got a new TV so I took my cable box downstairs to show her what he TV would look like when she gets a HD cable box but I used the HDMI cable, the picture was small, some shows and or movies where the full screen but majority were not, and it seemed like the picture looked better on the regular channels than the HD channels, why is that? So when I connected my box back to my TV with the 3 wires I now have the small picture like my landlord had, why did it change? Makes no sense, what's the point in getting a nice size TV if your not going to get a full screen all the time. I have TimeWarner cable and never had a problem. How do I get my TV back the way I had it where all channels, shows and movies were full screen no matter if it was a HD channel or not? Am I doing something wrong or is this the way its suppose to be? Please some advice would be good, never had this problem before, I would appreciate all the help and advice. Thanks
